by Robert

Cover
Who needs to know that you can order supplies from diapers.com and have them sent to your hotel? Who cares that only triangular crayons won’t fall off the airplane tray table? Who could save the cost and hassle of parking by paying a babysitter to drive the family to and from the airport? Moms! Allison Umbricht’s 155-page book is jam-packed with tips and stories from the author and other frequent-flier moms. You will learn new ideas to use for every stage of your travels. Careful planning for each part of the trip will take you from thinking “Am I crazy?” to “That’s the best thing I ever did!” This mom-to-mom guide (excuse the cliché – dad and grandparents of course will benefit too!) will empower you to have what you need to travel with your kids and have fun doing it. Check it out.

by Robert

CT_OOH
There must be something in the water at The Boathouse. Our hot streak continues as we were awarded 2nd Place in this year's Connecticut Ad Club Out-of-Home competition. This year's theme was "Let's Do Connecticut" in an effort to encourage CT tourism. Look for our entry targeting CT residents on digital billboards throughout the state. And, uh, be sure to vacation in your Connecticut. We hear it's pretty affordable.

For Your APP-etite

by Robert

Images
Sorry about the headline. Couldn’t resist. But here are five commuter friendly iPhone apps to try (especially if you’re buzzing around town on your new BRAMMO Enertia). Bike Your Drive is a free app that allows bike commuters to calculate things like how far they’ve biked, how many calories they’ve burned and how much gas money they’ve saved. Transit Maps allows you to store any transit map on your phone. Aha provides real-time traffic info and location searches and even lets you share real-time info with other drivers on the network. Zipcar is a free app that makes being a member of this unique car rental company a snap. You can choose a car to rent, reserve it and even turn it on using your iPhone. Finally, Maps + Compass is a standard app that will help you select the best routes no matter what your mode of travel is. Its bus feature even tells you when the bus will arrive. Check them out. And happy travels!

Never Forget Anything Again

by Robert

Images Are you forgetting something? If you are, you have no excuse for it, because thanks to the power of the Internet and mobile devices nothing should slip your mind ever again. No kidding — everywhere you look there is a new site or app that allows you to remind yourself about, well, everything. For example, Bitbom allows you to schedule free text message reminders to your phone, and Jott is a simple and convenient mobile service for leaving yourself notes and ToDo reminders. Don’t want to forget that important email? TeleFlip will let you auto-forward your emails to your phone as text messages, and Flurry enables you to follow up on your emails and even receive latest articles from favorite blogs/websites on your mobile. Just don’t forget that you read about it all here.

We’ve all been there. You’re on the go, you have to go, and the nearest restroom looks like the hellhole Ewan MacGregor dove into in Trainspotting. Well this community-authored database lets you know where it’s really safe to do your business in Manhattan. Now if they can only show us dads which ones men’s rooms have changing tables. Check it out.
